The lockdown has brought a drag to what used to be an over-eager self confidence in any of my daily activities. Visits to the park or adventure on a hike occurred at least three to four times a month, now it’s been months. But I am no longer on a heavy lockdown. ‘How do I kick myself into overdrive in order to make up for the lost possibilities I was to accomplish?’ I ask myself. It feels like a magnet weighs heavy on every decision at times pulling this way or that, uncertain
‘This is okay to have slowed down’, another affirmation that I try to remember. The hope to fit in any routine again is such a foreign concept without the world around me doing the same, it must come with ease and flow. Can It be concluded that this is the uncomfortable in between for an evolution, whether it be my own or for the rest of humanity. To want and to need are two different tasks at once. I want to work my passion of writing into a successful path and I need to work my passion of writing as it goes hand in hand with what feels right in everything I apply myself to. Lockdown has helped me form this website, study for my drone certification, read book after book, and follow through for this Kenyan vision with open objectives like building basketball courts and hoops when ever and wherever travels happen for the support of community connection. Now how do I make a sustainable model for these dreams if the world has yet to open? I must turn this skill into a mindset with no designated timeline or expectation. Write, heal and grow became a hashtag I chose to bring my words closer to the reader, let this be the core of my creative copywriting. Dreams are the blueprint we give ourselves and it’s how we choose our tasks within the day that determines how we achieve our own greatness.
