Catalyst or Foundation

Each day I wake, this nagging, considerably stubborn voice begins without hesitation of dreams just laid or a routine.

She beckons me.

Breaks my spirit.

It gives me the “reality” check I “need.”

Thanks to her, I have kept myself safe after years of mistakes, lessons relearned, and echoes of past precautions that provide a safety net. There is no one like this; she is my force of nature. If talking to myself in the third person is going to be the wake-up call piece I need, then so be it.

These are my words which begin to form on pages, and these words are read by eyes that have known me, grown with me, learned who this woman is, and now mouths slowly recite, possibly scan or look for the cliff notes. The truth is, I’ve never written anything that couldn’t be shared or what I would hope to bring some connection by some of my greatest idols. Like anyone else’s, my destination is so unknown, but I feel it in my gut that resisting the urge to be paid for a passion and talent that is so profoundly entrusted to, well, this is a new step to take with broad wings. Please enjoy these words while taking them as your own in some way, shape, and form. Please tell me how you’re affected or projected. This is key to growing roots in weaving words.
